Blending the fantastical with the familiar, their immersive worlds explore themes of trauma then transformation through communal & somatic healing. They dream disabled fantasies & Mad futures - lifetimes of queer indulgence & resistance - and futures full of connections to cultural practice and land. They dream of this from their own transsexual, Bengali-american, Crazy corner of existence.
Known for their vibrant & detail-rich illustrations, art twink has collaborated with a plethora of people liberating the lives of trans, immigrant, disabled and displaced communities.
They are also the Art behind children’s books My Rainbow -- the story of the mother & writer DeShanna Neal’s creation of a wig for her transgender daughter, Trinity -- and My Paati’s Saris, written by Jyoti Rajan Gopal - a story of a Tamil child’s self-discovery through the lens of their grandmother’s colorful sari collection.
