Charlotte Agell, represented by Victoria Wells Arms, was born in Norsjö, Sweden but grew up mostly as an expatriate Swede, in Montreal and Hong Kong. She moved to Maine to go to Bowdoin College and has been a happy camper there ever since. Charlotte is the author and illustrator of books for all ages of children, from the very youngest to teen novels, including the India McAllister books, the young adult novels Shift and Welcome Home or Someplace Like it and many picture books, many of which she illustrated. Her latest book is Maybe Tomorrow, illustrated by Ana Ramirez, which Kirkus praised as  "a poignant exploration of depression, grief, and friendship." Charlotte is a longtime public school teacher and lives in Maine.
