Fiona Wong was born in Eugene, Oregon and lived her formative years in Canada. Opting for an M.S. in Computer Science at UC Davis over an M.F.A., she remained devoted to her passions for drawing, writing, and singing. Fiona strives to create engaging STEAM books, recognizing their importance for children in today's digital age. After a career in the software industry, Fiona now leads parent education events and manages a writing club. She resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two kids.

Her forthcoming picture book debut, Hungry Ghosts!, illustrated by Yan Gu, will publish with Chronicle in 2028.
