Jamie Michalak, represented by Victoria Wells Arms, grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts, in the same neighborhood where Dr. Seuss once lived. As a child, she spent her days reading, rollerskating, and writing articles about her neighbors for her own newspaper, “The Biltmore Street News.”
A former children’s book editor, Jamie is the author of more than twenty-five books, including the chapter books about Frank & Bean and Joe and Sparky; So You Want to Catch Bigfoot?; and the “Martha Speaks” PBS Kids! chapter book series (under the name Jamie White).
In addition to writing children’s books, Jamie is co-founder of The Little Crooked Cottage, a children’s book blog celebrating authors, illustrators, and their creations.
She lives in Barrington, Rhode Island with her husband and two sons, who provide lots of inspiration for her stories.
